Ok. the time is getting near for us to release the LAST OF THE PINK FLAMINGO'S. the last you ask?? Yup. As many of you know, we pulled the remaining plastic pink flamingo's out of Union Products after they closed.
The catch was, most of the flamingo's had unpainted beaks and no metel legs. well we got the metal legs, all we have to do is paint the beak.
When released, this will be your last chance to buy the orignal pink flamingo's molded here in Leominster. There will be no more of this design EVER produced here(unless we can get our hands on the mold).
We are selling off the rare limited color ones, and doing very well, and we have received 100's of emails with the title "Buy pink flamingo's?". Weird, I never thought they would be THIS popular.
Anyway, I thought I would give you a heads up(and a heads down for those flamingo enthusiasts) as to when we will be releasing them. As of totday it looks like a week to 2 weeks max.
I had taken down our email subscription box on our site and here because I was spending wayyyy to much time on emails, but I will be putting it back up soon.
Did I mention that this will be the last time to buy pink flamingo's? How about the fact that they will be hand signed by Don featherstone? And YES, these still have his signature molded into the bird as well.

Pink Flamingo's Special Christmas Mix
Up for auction at ebay is a UNIQUE pair of CHRISTMAS FLAMINGO'S! These are the LAST of this line of Flamingo's! The Leominster Flamingo Company has acquired the last of the inventory of this now endangered species straight from their original location, and we have partnered with Don Featherstone, the original artist of these birds, to bring you HAND SIGNED Flamingo's!!
The colored Flamingo's were all limited runs, and are very hard to find. Of course with them not being produced anymore, these RARE COLORED versions are one of the most sought after versions of the plastic Flamingo.
Not only is his signature molded into the bird, but it is paired up with his actual autograph. This SPECIAL set is a LIMITED Mix put together by us here at the Leominster Flamingo Company especially for Christmas.
This pair is a RED and a DARK GREEN combination. This only for Christmas, and we will NEVER...EVER mix colors again for a set.
Because these birds were pulled directly from the warehouse of their original home, and were packed in bulk, we do not have the original boxes. However, other than that, the flamingo's come complete with legs, and one with the neck up, one with the neck down...BOTH hand signed!!
Once our inventory is gone, these are gone FOREVER!

Pink Flamingo's
I have got to say that the Flamingologist's out there are amazing!!! Six months ago I would have never believed that Flamingo's had such a cult following.
What started as a way to save a local icon(the Flamingo) in Leominster has turned into an unbelievable experience. The feedback and emails I get on a regular basis is simply astounding.
We have a really great design for the next generation flamingo, and I can't wait to show it to everyone. We are looking to make V2 more user interactive, and our version will appeal to all ages.
We are also looking into other Flamingo related projects that focus on..the Flamingo. Other websites, product lines, you name it, we are probably working on it...and it was all sparked by our loyal flamingo followers.
It seems like just yesterday our Mayor, Dean Mazzarella announced to the world that we had a new design. Boy does time fly!!!
I know for some our delayed unveiling comes as a dissapointment, but, when you see the final result, you will be more than surprised and excited!!
Stay tuned, as Flamingo's will once again rise to the top of the plastic lawn ornament food chain.

NOW they are all listed!!
Ok, I have finally listed on EBAY one of each color Flamingo. All are hand signed and ready to ship. These are absolutely the last of the Flamingo's made right here in Leominster. Rumor has it that the colored versions won't be made by the company that bought the Flamingo mold, so get em while you can. Own a piece of Leominster and Flamingo history! LINK

Back in the Saddle
Well it's been awhile since I have had the time to post to this blog. Both me and Michelle have been extremely busy working on other ventures we had started before the Flamingo flew into our lives.
Michelle owns and operates a Co-operative in Leominster, which is 10,000 square feet and houses local start-up businesses in a retail environment.
I am in process of purchasing a local packaging company and have moved the company to a new locaton, and pretty much re-organized the whole company.
Now that things have calmed down, we are going full throttle on the new flamingo design. The design is done, and I must say looks awesome! It will most certainly be a hit when launched. We have a few more legal details to work out (you know lawyers!) then we will announce the design to the world.
In the meanwhile, we manged to acquire a large amount of final run inventory from the flamingo's last known address. We have a large quantities of Flying Flamingo's, RealMingos, and limited edition off color flamingo's...to include purple, 2 shades of green, white, red, blue and of course pink.
We have partnered with Don and Nancy Featherstone, and Don has personally signed all of our inventory! Each item will be listed on our website and EBAY and come with an 8x10 print of Don actually signing the birds at our HQ in Leominster.
We have just recently had Flamingo Cafe coffee mugs, and those will be on our site for sale as well. Don't forget about our Flamingo shirts, we have been selling them like crazy online, and will soon be adding grey shirts to our product line as well.
Well that's it for right now, I will update this when we get the ebay auctions up and running.

Laying an "egg"?

Welcome to the Leominster Flamingo Company! First off, I want to say a big THANK YOU to all of those that came out to the Summer Stroll for the unveiling yesterday. I understand that some may have left feeling a little disappointed or even confused in regards to the "unveiling", but as stated before, that was not our intention.
We thought we were ready when the story leaked to the local paper back on the 25th of May, and had every intention of showing you at the very least, an engineered drawing of the new design.
However, things changed. Local and national support started flooding us with suggestions, ideas...you name it. The "leaked" story, which at first seemed like an bad omen, turned into a positive! We decided to try and incorporate all of these ideas into our design, and what happened was amazing! Our design began to take on a whole new dimension.
Since the whole thought behind this was to give the people a new flamingo, we thought we had an obligation to listen to the people and give them what they want. We found ourselves re-designing and modifying our design on a daily basis, which put us in an awkward position at the Summer Stroll.
Because we only wanted to "unveil" the finished design, we decided to wait until it was ABSOLUTELY perfect. We are very close, but due to both business and legal reasons, we couldn't risk showing an incomplete design.
You support has been amazing, and your patience is appreciated. Trust me, when you feast your eyes on what we have in store for you, you will not be disappointed! Also, when we do the final design and prototype unveiling...You will understand why we couldn't say more than we have.
